Inventory setup

SL-QuickWheel detects your inventory automatically (Config.Inventory = 'auto'). Most inventories need no change at all. The only common conflict is the key: several inventories use TAB, which is also the wheel’s default.

ox_inventory opens its hotbar with TAB and shows its own notifications when an item is used or a weapon is equipped. Neither breaks the wheel, but both appear on top of it. Add these lines to server.cfg before ensure ox_inventory:

server.cfg
setr inventory:keys ["F2", "K", "F5"] # ox hotbar on F5
setr inventory:itemnotify 0 # no item notifications
setr inventory:weaponnotify 0 # no weapon notifications
setr inventory:screenblur 0 # optional: no blur

Restart the whole server afterwards: ox_inventory only reads these values when it starts. No ox_inventory file needs to be edited, and its inventory window (F2), shops, stashes and crafting keep working as usual.

To have the wheel apply these values itself, set Config.AutoConfigureInventory = true and ensure sl-quickwheel before ox_inventory. If ox_inventory was already running, the console reports it.

qb-inventory opens the inventory with TAB. Change one of the two keys:

  • the inventory key in qb-inventory/config/config.lua (Config.Keybinds.Open), for example to F2; or
  • the wheel key, Config.Key in sl-quickwheel/config.lua.

While the wheel is open, qb-inventory’s 1-5 keys do not use items, so pressing a number places the highlighted item in the hotbar instead. When the wheel is closed, those keys work as usual.

qb-inventory 1.x, ps-inventory and lj-inventory

Section titled “qb-inventory 1.x, ps-inventory and lj-inventory”

These inventories also open with TAB; change one of the two keys as described above. Dropping items to the ground is detected automatically on start, and the console prints the method in use. If it cannot be detected, the Drop action is hidden.

No change is needed; the ESX inventory opens with F2. Weapons come from the player’s loadout and can be equipped from the wheel.

The wheel runs in native mode and shows the weapons the player is carrying. The item wheel, trunks and hotbar are not available.

FiveM saves key bindings on each player’s computer the first time a resource registers them. If you change a default key after players have joined, for example moving the ox_inventory hotbar from TAB to F5, those players keep their previous binding until they change it in Settings > Key Bindings > FiveM. New players receive the new defaults. Each player can also change the wheel key there.
