Build your shop
Owners design their shop themselves. Open the computer in the back room and start the Renovation app.
The renovation mode
Section titled “The renovation mode”- An overhead camera that you move freely with the mouse. Press Tab to walk inside the shop instead.
- Pick a piece of furniture, drag it, rotate it and drop it. The rules are checked live: it cannot block the door, the registers, the stairs or the way to the back room, and the shop always keeps a free path for customers.
- Products travel with their furniture: move a shelf and its products move with it. Remove it and its stock goes back into boxes.
- While you renovate, the shop is closed to customers, with a sign on the door.

Crates
Section titled “Crates”Bought furniture does not appear out of thin air: it arrives in crates. They are bought with the catalog’s cart: add the furniture you want and pay once. The whole purchase goes out in a single shipment, fixed once paid. The cart tells you before paying whether everything fits where you send it, and the catalog greys out the furniture that no longer fits. Choose where they are delivered:
- On the sidewalk at the door: carry each crate inside in your arms.
- To the storage room: on pallets and racks, ready to use.
Lower floors (24/7)
Section titled “Lower floors (24/7)”The 24/7 can grow downstairs:
| Upgrade | What you get |
|---|---|
| Sales floor | A second floor for customers, with its own furniture |
| Storage room | A realistic basement with racks for stock boxes and pallets for crates |
Buy them from the Renovation app. The arrow keys switch floors in the renovation mode.
Floors and walls
Section titled “Floors and walls”The Interior tab of the renovation mode changes the look of the shop: 20 floors (classic, plain, checkered, diamond and hydraulic tiles) and 10 wall styles, freely combined. They cover the street floor of every shop, and the lower sales floor of the 24/7.
- Preview any finish before buying it. Each one is paid once per shop, from its account; after that, switching between the ones you own is free.
- Classic is the original look of each kind of shop: the 24/7, the liquor store or the LTD.
- Finishes stay with the shop: if it is sold or transferred, the new owner keeps them.
Admins set the price of each finish in /slshops_admin → Shop finishes (the default prices are in Config.Finishes).
